Brewing and Distilling

The drinks industry can be broadly subdivided into the high and low strength potable alcohol sectors. For the low strength alcohol trade the majority of work relates to DSEAR and ATEX including Hazardous Area Classification particularly around grain handling, storage and milling.  Ancillary areas of operation also include laboratories, ammonia coolers, boiler houses, engineering departments and bio-treatment plants. When HSD Safety undertake a site wide assessment we mean site-wide.

For the high strength potable alcohol in addition to the low strength potable alcohol services above advice is often provided on distillation, casking, maturation warehousing and bottling. Not surprisingly sites are frequently lower or upper tier COMAH  so we provide assistance in preparing the technical report.
